During your apprenticeship, you will gain many insights into the various areas of the Ostuferhafen. You will learn how to load, secure and reload containers correctly and play a key role in ensuring that our goods can be shipped out into the world. The goods you handle here include paper products, timber products and agricultural machinery. Wind turbine towers and perfume packaging from luxury labels also find their way through our port in Kiel. As part of your training, you will acquire your forklift licence with us and can expand your knowledge in a wide range of areas through internal training courses. During your apprenticeship, we currently pay you € 1,145 in the first year, € 1,185 in the second year and € 1,275 in the third year.
The apprenticeship starts on 01/08/2024. The vocational school is the Berufliche Schule Logistik und Sicherheit in Hamburg, which you will attend as part of block teaching. We are always looking for several trainees per apprenticeship year so that car pools can be formed. The costs of travelling to the vocational school are covered in full by us and we currently subsidise a monthly ticket from NAH-SH with €15. We guarantee you predictable shift work and provide you with all the work clothes you need. During your apprenticeship, you can look forward to an experienced, motivated team of trainers as well as regular events and many benefits for employees.
We are your port
We are the PORT OF KIEL, which includes Kiel Airport and our cargo handling company SEEHAFEN KIEL Stevedoring. We are located along the Kiel Fjord at the Schwedenkai, Ostseekai, Norwegenkai and Ostuferhafen. After your training, you will have the opportunity to be taken on as a permanent member of our team.
