We are looking for a department manager for our Terminal Operations as soon as possible.
Your tasks
You will take over the operational management of our Terminal Operations department. Thanks to your high degree of initiative and your structured way of working, you and your colleagues will ensure that the port processes function smoothly on a daily basis. You will not only be responsible for planning the department's personnel and resources, but will also coordinate the operation and maintenance of our infrastructure, such as the terminal buildings and the gangways. In addition, you will be involved in the further development of the department's activities and support the budget and cost planning of port operations. As a result of this and your flexibility and willingness to think and work outside the box, you will be an elementary part of the port and gain a wide range of insights behind the scenes at the seaport of Kiel.
You have
You have a master craftsman's or technical college qualification in a technical or comparable field and already have experience in managing operational units. You are in possession of a class B driving licence. In addition to using Office software, you have no problems with the basics of English. You also have a solution- and team-orientated way of working. You are reliable, confidential and a commitment to service is a matter of course for you.
