We as employer

Our many years of experience, our continuous growth and the passion with which we have been surprising our customers with new innovations for years have taught us one thing: the success of our company is the result of the commitment and qualifications of each individual employee. Our business decisions at the PORT OF KIEL are characterised by far-sighted thinking and action from an ecological, economic and social perspective.

We can only achieve our goals together. That's why our employees are at the centre of everything we do. Their induction and further training are just as important to us as periods of relaxation or special offers during working hours. At the PORT OF KIEL, employees are not just employees - for us, they are part of the bigger picture and essential to our success. The way in which every single employee at the PORT OF KIEL faces new challenges and tasks every day has made us a five-star port over the years. By focussing on continuous growth and forward-looking management, we are able to offer our employees long-term prospects and exciting development opportunities.

There are many reasons

Internal dialogue and continuous improvement are very important to us. That's why we hold regular team meetings and feedback sessions. Performance pays off: with our target agreement system, we offer an additional incentive to achieve our goals together.

Health

We have been practising active corporate health management (CHM) at the PORT OF KIEL since 2012.

... CHM means:

A fun workplace

Enjoying our work is crucial for us and the basis for our success - which is why the "surroundings" must also be right: A good atmosphere characterised by fairness, openness and helpfulness is important to us. To reinforce this, we often organise small events within the departments, such as cooking together or taking part in sporting events. In summer, the entire PORT OF KIEL meets directly on the quayside for the annual barbecue.
